History of Raphael

Raphael was founded by renowned humanists, Group Captain Lord Leonard Cheshire, VC, OM, DSO, DFC, and his wife Baroness Sue Ryder in April 1959.

It is situated in Dehra Dun in the state of Uttarakhand, India.

Named after the Archangel of Healing. Raphael celebrated its Golden Jubilee in April, 2009.

Raphael today offers its services in varied areas, for the relief of suffering.
