Little White House
A home for children of Leprosy parentage. In Little White House they are given a new beginning in life, away from the stigma of the disease which afflicted their parents.
The children attend local educational institutions. After completion of their schooling, they are given professional training to be able to follow a vocation of their choice.
This is made possible through generosity of donors.
Over the years, nearly 20 students have availed of the training in Special education and are presently employed as teachers in the Special Education Wing of Raphael as teachers.
Some amongst them have joined the Armed Forces and a number of the girl students after completion of the Nurse’s training programme are working in various hospitals.
Presently there are 36 children resident in the Little White House, where all their needs are taken care of by Raphael. Some of the children are sponsored by friends in Australia, New Zealand and UK.
Apart from regular schooling, the children have facilities for yoga, computer classes and sports.
